School Clubs and Extra-Curricular Activities

We run a "2-3" Club for pupils in P1-3.  This costs £2.50 per day and pupils can be picked up at 3pm. We also provide a “Before School Club” from 8:00-8:45 each morning, at a cost of £1.50 per day.

After-school sports club, Sportstopia, runs each Tuesday afternoon for pupils from Year 3-7. Qualified coaches offer a multi-sports program to encourage pupils to be active and to develop good team skills and sportsmanship.

Our Running Club enjoys keeping fit, building stamina and endurance by running outdoors. We also work on speed and love to improve our personal bests!

Our Year 7 pupils get busy working towards their Cycling Proficiency Award during the Summer Term under Mrs Gill’s instruction.

Pupils at Glasswater can sign up for piano lessons during school hours with qualified music teacher, Lindsey McConomy.

Our boys’ and girls’ hockey teams have represented our school at local tournaments where they enjoy friendly matches to further develop their skills and their ability to play as a team.

All pupils from Year 1-7 enjoy weekly PE sessions with an IFA coach. Key Stage 2 pupils have opportunities to display their football skills in local football festivals.

We are proud to be an Eco-Schools Green Flag School and have an active Eco-Committee who are keen to raise awareness of environmental matters and improve the outdoor spaces around our school.

Our school choir is perfect for those pupils who love to sing. They practise each Monday afternoon and enjoy performing at school and community events.

Our classroom assistants are trained in Lego therapy, and pupils enjoying working together in groups during Lego sessions.
