• P3/4 Finnish Day

  We had Enni, a Finnish visitor in our classroom today who told us all about Finland. We also adapted our classroom to be like a Finnish classroom by taking our shoes off. This kept the floor clean and gave us a chance to wear fluffy warm socks! We tasted Finnish bread and sampled some Finnish chocolate. We love Finland!

  The PTA would like to say thank you to all who have supported their fundraising events this year. The pupils who raised the most funds this year were given a special thank you this morning!

  The pupils who didn't miss a day at school this year were presented with their full attendance certificates in assembly this morning. Well done to each of them!

• Class of 2016 Leavers' Assembly

  After a wonderful 7 years the P7 Class of 2016 bid farewell to Glasswater Primary School in style. They performed a hugely entertaining sketch, received their records of achievements and were presented with their new school ties for September. We wish all our P7 pupils every success on the adventures that lie ahead for them!

   

  

• School Trip to Newcastle

  We have all had a wonderful day by the sea in Newcastle. Much fun was had in Coco's before we spent some time on the beach. A great end of term treat for the hard-working and wonderful pupils of Glasswater!

  

• P1 visit Fitzsimons

  P1 have had a fantastic time visiting Stephen at Fitzsimons, our local ice cream shop. This is part of our topic on Summer and The Holidays. Thank you Stephen for your patience and kindness. The ice cream was delicious!

• Sports' Day

  We have had an amazing Sports' Day.  Thanks to everyone who came along and supported the pupils.   A special thanks to the hard-working PTA who were at the finishing line and providing refreshments  - we couldn't have managed without you. 

  

• Hockey Club

  Wednesday 8th June will be the last week of Hockey Club for this term. Thanks to the PTA for kitting us out with hockey sticks and balls. The pupils have had lots of fun and learnt a few new hockey skills as well! The equipment will be put to good use again next year!
