PTA arranged a lovely Christmas treat for us today. Colours Paint Your Own Studio came to school and we got to paint our own Santa decoration 🧑🎄 #smallschoolbigheart
A big walk for P1/2 for Santa Daily Mile, a candy cane treat in the middle, tired legs at the top of the hill then whoosh back down to school - well done 👏🎅👏🎅👏 ##santadailymile #healthybodieshealthyminds #smallschoolbigheart
P1/2 have been busy using their ICT skills in class. We all achieved a bronze certificate for more than 1000 points in Mathletics this week. P2 drew a picture and wrote a story using Clicker about a Sunset snowman. P1 typed their names - amazing! . We loved having the BeeBots out as we start our new story The Jolly Christmas Postman #smallschoolbigheart
Another busy day in P1/2. We got both our Christmas trees decorated while listening to some Christmas songs. We had filled our pompom jar for good listening, effort, behaviour and kindness so had hot chocolate and cupcakes as our treat - perfect on a miserable day. Thanks to Mrs Leahy for the cupcakes. ‘Best day ever’ one said! #smallschoolbigheart
We have loved our mini-topic of Space as part of Light and Dark. This week we have been thinking about 3D shapes and are as ‘proud as punch’ of our amazing rockets. Well done everyone 👏👏👏
P1/2 enjoyed drawing with chalk in the car park this week. It helped to brighten up a dull day. They are a bit disappointed that they will disappear in the rain but what can we draw next?!
We all loved helping Pudsey to raise some money for Children in Need. We got to choose our toppings for toast and carefully used the knives for a late breakfast. Yummy yummy - chocolate spread was the big winner!
Thank you to our amazing PTA for the most incredible Half Term Fun Day. We carved our pumpkins and made scarecrows to help decorate the school. There was a pumpkin patch for photographs and a scarecrow trail around the village. We all got a toffee apple too. Thank you to everyone who planned and organised such an amazing day.
Ahoy there! P1/2 are having great fun on our pirate ship.
P2 had a go at problem solving. They needed to work together to build a buggy and a high chair for the baby clinic.
Our Author of the month is Julia Donaldson. We had a go at making our own Stick Man.
We loved our story of the week, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. P2 were busy sewing butterflies and creating symmetrical butterflies. Great job P2!
Thanks to Elizabeth McCorriston and the PTA for organising a lovely pumpkin hunt for P1/2 with a few treats along the way.
