What a great day to be nest builders!
Today Year 4/5 were asked to work together to gather materials and build a nest! Creativity, communication and cooperation were all needed to produce something that a bird would be proud of! #smallschoolbigheart
Year 4/5 were busy this afternoon! Lots of group and paired activities allowed them to put into practise some of their fantastic ideas on how to show respect in the classroom! We also enjoyed listening to Aretha Franklin’s RESPECT as we did so! #smallschoolbigheart

Year 5 measured up very well in Numeracy! They worked with their classmate and used different instruments to measure the length of lots of items in our classroom!
Harry’s dad came in to tell Year 4/5 about his time in the Merchant Navy. He showed us some charts and plans of his ship, and we learnt how the ship was designed to make rescues at sea in all kinds of weather! Thank you so much!
Year 4/5 and Mrs Gill learnt lots about staying safe near the sea today. A huge thank you to Taylor’s dad for sharing his experience and knowledge of the seas with us. The pupils loved trying to tie knots....just like real little sailors! #rescueatsea
