⚽️Football Friendlies at Killyleagh ⚽️
Our football team had a fantastic afternoon playing some friendly matches against other local schools. They displayed superb sportsmanship and skill throughout their matches as they worked together - passing, moving, dribbling and scoring lots of goals - to win 3 out of their 4 games.
Thanks to Mr McFerran for organising the matches, to Pamela for helping with transport and to Philip and Becky for their support from the sidelines!

On Friday, our Primary Seven pupils spent some lovely time in the sunshine buddying up with our Primary One and Two classes.
It was wonderful to see all the children playing so well together. They were full of smiles, teamwork, and kindness. Moments like these remind us how special our school community is.

Glasswater PS were given a kind donation of wheelbarrows. We will definitely be able to use these in our outdoor learning.
P1/2 had a fabulous time tidying around the front of school today. We were using our senses to explore the change in seasons. Autumn is definitely on the way!

Introducing this year’s House Captains for Rowallane, Delamont and Castleward! They hope to lead their respective houses to victory and win the Glasswater House Cup and Sports Cup at the end of the year. To do so they will lead by example and encourage the pupils of Glasswater to earn lots of house points in various ways….working hard, being kind, showing respect, taking care of our school environment….to name a few!
Congratulations on your new roles boys and girls!

Congratulations to our newly appointed school councillors who were voted to represent their classmates on this year’s School Council. They are bursting with ideas and suggestions, are committed to promoting pupil voice in our school and are excited to work alongside Miss Godfrey to make Glasswater the best it can be!
We are so proud of all of our pupils who took part in today’s election - lots of great speeches were prepared and delivered with confidence. Well done everyone!

Our Key Stage 2 classes enjoyed getting out this afternoon to enjoy their Daily Mile walk around the village. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to stay active, enjoy a chat with their classmates and helps them to refocus on their learning when they return to the classroom.
