Year 4/5 had a fabulous day with their friends from St Joseph’s at Castleward. They learnt what it was like during World War 2 for evacuee children and had great fun playing with toys and games from that era. Thanks to all the staff at Castleward for making our visit so enjoyable. #smallschoolbigheart
Today it was the girls’ turn to represent Glasswater at an Ulster Hockey Blitz in Saintfield. They played so well and showed some great hockey skills and determination in each of their matches. Great job ladies! We are proud of you all. Thanks again to Rosemary for all her hockey expertise and support! #smallschoolbigheart

Santa took a few hours out of his busy weekend to meet lots of the boys and girls from around Crossgar at Meadow Farm. This lovely event for the whole community was organised by our PTA. We’re so grateful to this creative, talented bunch of people, to the big and little elves who helped Santa today and to everyone who visited. A special thanks to the Orrs for their kind and very generous hospitality. A fantastic £433 was raised, #smallschoolbigheart
Our annual carol service was a joyful, festive delight for all who attended this afternoon. The children in P3-7 were fantastic as they read, recited poems, played instruments and sang to us. Well done to all involved. Special thanks to Rev Mark Spratt for sharing in our carol service this year and to the PTA for organising refreshments afterwards. #smallschoolbigheart
