The Department of Education (DE) has provided defibrillators to schools across Northern Ireland to help save lives within communities from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
In Glasswater, the defibrillator is located just outside Mr Milligan’s office through the main entrance of our school.

Today we had some crackin’ good fun with some Easter-themed drills, before the boys and girls showed off their ‘egg-cellent’ skills with some mini-matches! Thanks to Sarah as always for coaching the children and also to some of our hockey-loving past pupils who came along to lend a hand!

🇫🇷P5/6 have really enjoyed learning French over the past couple of weeks.
Madame Henderson from Saintfield High School has been visiting. She has been teaching us greetings, simple phrases, and colours.
Thank you, Madame Henderson, for sharing your knowledge with us.🇫🇷

The boys and girls had lots of fun with lots of new colourful and exciting playground toys today. The School Council would like to thank anyone who ordered Christmas cards earlier this year as the commission raised from the card sales was used to order some new toys for all of our pupils to enjoy each day at break and lunch time.

Today some of our pupils in P4-7 enjoyed getting their hockey sticks out to practise their skills and play some games at Hockey Club. For some it was a welcome return to the game, for others it was a first! But for all it was lots of fun!
Thanks to Sarah for sharing her love of the game and her coaching expertise with the pupils.

Our Key Stage 2 pupils enjoyed lots of interactive activities at the Nursing Matters workshops facilitated by the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queens University. They learnt lots about their bodies, how to administer CPR, the importance of good hygiene and handwashing, as well as thinking about possible pathways of nursing as a career! A great morning for all! Thanks to Elizabeth for bringing this super opportunity to Glasswater alongside a wonderful team of nurses.
