Year 4 Gardeners
Tue 04 Oct 2016The Year 4 Gardening Club has been busy digging, wedding, raking, planting and watering over the past few weeks with Mrs Butenis. Thank you all for taking care of our school grounds. Today we said a big THANK YOU to Terry and Tanya Casement from Crossgar Fuels who kindly donated all the plants and compost for the children to work with. Our school is now a much brighter place with a welcome burst of colour!

Letter from Buckingham Palace
Fri 26 Aug 2016We were delighted when we opened the Summer post this morning! Our P2s had a Garden Party and sent their birthday greetings to Queen Elizabeth earlier this year. What an amazing response from Buckingham Palace. We can't wait to show the children on Tuesday :)

P3/4 Finnish Day
Wed 29 Jun 2016We had Enni, a Finnish visitor in our classroom today who told us all about Finland. We also adapted our classroom to be like a Finnish classroom by taking our shoes off. This kept the floor clean and gave us a chance to wear fluffy warm socks! We tasted Finnish bread and sampled some Finnish chocolate. We love Finland!

PTA say "Thank You"

Class of 2016 Leavers' Assembly
Fri 24 Jun 2016After a wonderful 7 years the P7 Class of 2016 bid farewell to Glasswater Primary School in style. They performed a hugely entertaining sketch, received their records of achievements and were presented with their new school ties for September. We wish all our P7 pupils every success on the adventures that lie ahead for them!

School Trip to Newcastle
Tue 21 Jun 2016We have all had a wonderful day by the sea in Newcastle. Much fun was had in Coco's before we spent some time on the beach. A great end of term treat for the hard-working and wonderful pupils of Glasswater!

P1 visit Fitzsimons
Thu 16 Jun 2016P1 have had a fantastic time visiting Stephen at Fitzsimons, our local ice cream shop. This is part of our topic on Summer and The Holidays. Thank you Stephen for your patience and kindness. The ice cream was delicious!
