Our pupils and staff enjoyed going out in their festive attire to complete the Santa Daily Mile this week. Getting out in the fresh air for some exercise and having a chat to their friends is always enjoyable and when Christmas jumpers are added into the mix, we most definitely had a holly, jolly good time!

Meet our digital leaders for 2025-2026.
Our Digital Leaders will play a pivotal role in several key areas:
Technology Support: They'll assist both students and staff with digital tools and resources, making sure everyone can use our technology effectively.
Online Safety: They will help teach their peers about staying safe online, including how to protect personal information and navigate the internet responsibly.
Digital Projects: Our digital leaders will take charge of exciting projects, from creating presentations to introducing new apps and helping to organise events like Safer Internet Week.
Technical Assistance: They'll be ready to help with common tech issues, keeping our digital learning environment running smoothly.
Digital Citizenship: They will champion positive online behavior and etiquette, helping to build a respectful and inclusive online community.
We are incredibly proud of our new Digital Leaders; they will be upskilled by their teachers and outside agencies, including Nerve Belfast and the Apple Store in Belfast.
Mr Milligan held a special assembly this morning to present these superstars with their certificates and awards. They have shone brightly in many ways, from making progress in the classroom and displaying good manners, to sporting successes! We are so proud of each one of you! Well done!
A team of P6/7 pupils were out enjoying the sunshine this morning, raking leaves, tilling soil, pruning branches and planting crocus bulbs, winter pansies and wheat in our school garden. They were very industrious.
Today Glasswater was full of festive cheer and Christmas spirit was most definitely in the air as our pupils enjoyed their Christmas dinner followed by a Christmas Conga out to the playground! A Glasswater tradition!
Thanks to the staff of Saintfield School Kitchens for a delicious dinner and to Rita and Ms Thompson for organising and serving the boys and girls.

Today we welcomed Eimear from Golf Ireland to Glasswater who delivered golf taster sessions to our key stage 2 classes. These were thoroughly enjoyed by all and some super putting skills were on display!

P5/6 had lots of fun using foraged materials and some recycled ribbon to create a festive sustainable Christmas tree. There was lots of discussion about how we can reduce, reuse and recycle our waste to our benefit.
All prospective parents are welcome to come along and bring their child/children with them to our school open afternoon.
