As part of our Harvest celebrations, our amazing PTA encouraged us to bring in a pumpkin. We were delighted to be able to display them in the playground overnight so that everyone could get a look at them as they walked down James Street. #smallschoolbigheart
Thanks to our PTA chair, Kelly McCormick, for the photos.
Harvest Food Bank Appeal
The Rev and Mrs Smyth called in this afternoon to collect the donations for the Kilmore & Inch Parish Food Bank. Many thanks to all the pupils and their parents for the items sent in…our aim was to fill a shopping trolley to help local families in need and we did just that and much more!

We were delighted to welcome the Minister of Education, Michelle McIlveen, and her colleagues to Glasswater today. She had a walk around the classes, met with the School Council and chatted with Mr Milligan and some members of the Board of Governors. She also helped the Eco Committee plant a tree as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy - as a memorial to honour Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

This morning our school choir and Year 7 pupils led us in a special Harvest assembly. Well done to all who took part!
Generous donations from our pupils and their families have filled a trolley of items for the local Foodbank. Thank you so much....this will make a difference to some local families in need. Our harvest appeal will continue until Friday 21st October, so anyone who wishes to contribute still has time to do so.
Meet this year’s Eco Team! We have lots of great plans. The work has already started. We also hope to transform an area at the back of our school.
Mr Milligan was delighted to present these boys and girls with his Headteacher Awards for September! Well done to you all!
We were delighted to have Colin Tinsley from Hope for Youth Ministries with us this week. Pupils from Year 1-7 very much enjoyed singing, listening to Bible stories and taking part in quizzes each day! Thank you Colin - it was great to have you back in Glasswater.

Our Year 7 House Captains were elected today. They hope to lead, inspire and encourage their fellow housemates to earn lots of house points this year and be the very best that they can be!

This afternoon, Mr Milligan and some of our Year 7 pupils passed on the sympathies of our school community to the Royal Family, as they signed the book of condolences in Crossgar. We also held a special assembly this morning to reflect on the remarkable life journey of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
