Today we were delighted to welcome Cormac from NIE to say thank you for responding to the School Council’s plea and replacing the substation in our lower playground. No longer are the pupils faced with the problem of losing footballs behind the fence, and they can now have much more enjoyable playtimes!
Thanks to last year’s school councillors for writing to NIE to raise this issue.

Thanks to everyone who supported today’s fundraiser for NSPCC. We are delighted to announce that the total raised is £349.60.....an absolutely fantastic total.
So thank you to all parents, pupils and staff who donated money, made delicious buns to sell and set up our very own London Landmark marathon in the playground. Today was a Glasswater team effort to raise money for this worthy cause and to cheer on Mrs Leahy as she prepares for the half-marathon in April! Go Mrs Leahy!

Congratulations to all of this term’s Gold winners in Mathletics. We are proud of each one of you! Thanks to the PTA for their contribution towards the subscription costs for this program. It’s such a valuable platform for our pupils to be able to practise and hone their mathematical skills.

One of the school councillors had the idea of creating a school newspaper this year. So we are delighted to announce that the first edition of the Glasswater Times was distributed today. We hope you all enjoy reading about what has been happening in our school lately.
Well done to our school council for working hard this week to meet today’s deadline! Great job!

Thank you to Philip Houston, owner of Get Noticed Signs, for donating a fantastic new sign for the clothes bank. All money realised goes to Eco projects around the school. #smallschoolbigheart
Congratulations to our We Really Shine winners for January #smallschoolbigheart
Congratulations to our We Really Shine winners for December. Mr Milligan presented them with their awards in assembly this morning. #smallschoolbigheart
We were delighted to welcome everyone to our Open Afternoon. If you would like to visit, please phone the school to make an appointment. In the meantime, if you have a minute, P1/2 would like to show you their classroom. Please have a look at our Class Page #smallschoolbigheart
Mr Milligan was delighted to receive new signs for the bottom of the school drive from the PSNI and PCSP this afternoon. They are clear visible reminders for road users to take care as they are passing by the school, dropping off pupils or collecting them from school. The safety of our pupils is of utmost importance to us all at Glasswater, so these new signs are very much appreciated.
