New Playground Toys
Wed 20 Nov 2019Today our wonderful school councillors organised all the new play equipment that they ordered for the playground! All we need is a dry day to get out and enjoy it!
Thank you to all who supported last year’s fundraising, as this money was used to buy new toys for the pupils to enjoy at break and lunch each day!
Playground Pals will also be on duty each day to play alongside their fellow pupils. Thank you School Council.

Children in Need 2019
Fri 15 Nov 2019A million thank yous to all who gave so generously to this year’s Children in Need fundraiser. We raised a brilliant total of £181.20! Thanks to our school councillors who were kept busy today painting faces and counting money! #smallschoolbigheart

Sumdog Champions
Wed 13 Nov 2019A massive WELL DONE to our P7s who have won this week’s South Eastern Region Sumdog competition!
Playing against 42 classes and answering up to 1000 mental maths questions online, they have made us very proud!
Congratulations also to our P6s, who achieved 3rd place, our P5s who achieved 4th place and our P4s who achieved 5th place! One of our Year 4s even gained 4th place on the individual student leaderboard!! Well done.
Great job everyone!

Our New Hashtag and Mission Statement

Signature Schools Uniform Commission
Mon 11 Nov 2019Today Jayne from Signature Works presented a cheque to our school for commission on our new school uniform.

Personalised Christmas Cards
Thu 07 Nov 2019Our Christmas Cards, gift tags and other personalised items have arrived.
These will be ready for collection this Friday the 8th November at 2pm, near the schools main entrance.

Girls Hockey Blitz
Wed 16 Oct 2019Our girls did us proud today at an Ulster Hockey blitz at Saintfield. They played some great hockey and smiled and encouraged each other as they did so! Well done girls! Thanks to Mr Owen for all his time and effort coaching the girls!

House Captains Elected

School Council Election
Sat 21 Sep 2019Today was Election Day in Glasswater as the new School Council for 2019-20 was chosen. Many wonderful speeches were delivered with confidence and creativity as the pupils sought to convince their classmates that they should represent their year group on the School Council. Congratulations to the newly appointed councillors! Mr Milligan and Mrs Gill are excited to meet with you all at our first meeting next week. #pupilvoice

PTA’s Annual General Meeting
Tue 10 Sep 2019The PTA’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 16th September 2019 at 6.30pm in the school.
With the school’s stretched budget the PTA is vital to help raise funds for those little extras that enrich and enhance our children’s school day - be it extra resources, equipment, building upkeep or a school trip.
We all all have different talents and skills that we can bring to the school and this is a great opportunity to get involved.
Everyone can join and, any help, really does make a difference!
