House Captains Elected

School Council Election
Sat 21 Sep 2019Today was Election Day in Glasswater as the new School Council for 2019-20 was chosen. Many wonderful speeches were delivered with confidence and creativity as the pupils sought to convince their classmates that they should represent their year group on the School Council. Congratulations to the newly appointed councillors! Mr Milligan and Mrs Gill are excited to meet with you all at our first meeting next week. #pupilvoice

PTA’s Annual General Meeting
Tue 10 Sep 2019The PTA’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 16th September 2019 at 6.30pm in the school.
With the school’s stretched budget the PTA is vital to help raise funds for those little extras that enrich and enhance our children’s school day - be it extra resources, equipment, building upkeep or a school trip.
We all all have different talents and skills that we can bring to the school and this is a great opportunity to get involved.
Everyone can join and, any help, really does make a difference!

PTA Sponsored Walk
Fri 31 May 2019There will be a few tired legs this evening after this morning’s sponsored walk! The pupils and teachers enjoyed the walk through the monastery, and the delicious fruit and juice that the PTA had prepared for us when we all returned to school. Thanks so much to all those involved in organising and thanks also to all the generous families and friends who sponsored the children!

P5-7 Shared Education Trip to Ice Bowl
Mon 20 May 2019Today P5-7 celebrated the end of this year’s Shared Education programme with a fun day at Dundonald Ice Bowl. The pupils enjoyed a game of 10 pin bowling, a new experience for some, and then had fun in Indianaland, with their friends from St. Joseph’s.

Boys’ Hockey Friendlies with Local Schools
Fri 17 May 2019The Glasswater boys did us proud this afternoon at a friendly tournament in Saintfield! They won 2 games and played some great hockey! Well done boys! Huge thanks to Mr Owen for taking the boys today and for the wonderful coaching and encouragement you have given throughout the year at Hockey Club!

Boys’ Football Success
Fri 10 May 2019Well done to all the boys and girls who took part in the Glastry Football Tournament today. Both teams did really well, with one team managing to secure 3rd place after winning 6 of their 7 games. Thanks to Mr McFerran for taking the teams today!

We Love to Recycle
Fri 10 May 2019Our pupils enjoyed a visit from Noel from Bryson House today. He reminded us of the importance of recycling and showed us how to make badges and origami dogs! The boys and girls had lots of fun.

Lego Club
Thu 28 Mar 2019Lego Club was happening in the hall this afternoon! The pupils had fun as they shared the tasks, adopted different roles and most importantly worked together to build some Lego models! Thank you Mrs Martin!
