Getting ready to join the Khulula Choir from Swaziland
Mon 03 Apr 2017Our boys and girls have been busy practising for their performance with the Khulula Choir from Swaziland. Here's a sneak peek at one of their songs. We are joining with pupils from Killyleagh and Derryboye Primary Schools to sing with the choir in Raffery Church Hall on Wednesday 26th April at 7.30pm. All are welcome to come along! -
Mr Leahy gives us a lovely surprise
Mon 03 Apr 2017P1 got a lovely surprise today when Mr Leahy brought us a fantastic birdhouse which he had made for us. He put it up outside our window and now we can watch the birds coming to visit. Thank you Mal - we love it!

Year 5 visit Carrickfergus Castle
Fri 31 Mar 2017The boys and girls in Year 5 had a great day at the castle yesterday. We learnt lots about what it was like to live in a castle in medieval times and got to try on some of the armour and hold some weapons! A super time was had by all!

Our New Library Books Have Arrived!
Fri 31 Mar 2017Today the school councillors unpacked boxes of new books for the library. The shelves are now full of lots of wonderful reads chosen by the pupils! Thank you to all who supported our Valentine's Bear fundraiser which enabled the School Council to order more than 50 new titles for the library.

P1 are Problem Solving
Wed 29 Mar 2017We are learning about measuring this week. Our teacher set the challenge to build a tower with just spaghetti and play dough. Some were more than 4 hands high. We also made some fantastic creatures.

Raising money for Comic Relief with Crazy Hair
Fri 24 Mar 2017It is warm enough to have our snack outside and we got to come to school with crazy hair! We raised £102 - well done everyone.

P1 enjoy Shrove Tuesday

P1 celebrate Valentine's Day
Tue 14 Feb 2017P1 have been having fun today playing with pink water and rose-scented dough. We decorated heart-shaped shortbread and made some Valentine's cards. We painted Valentine's bouquets and had a rest in the Queen of Hearts café.

P1 enjoy National Storytelling Week
Tue 31 Jan 2017P1 have been busy thinking about characters from stories. Yesterday we made puppets and today we got out the dress ups (lots of happy P1s today!). This afternoon we had some amazing storytellers from the land of Room 1. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

"Presents for Pounds" Christmas Appeal
Mon 16 Jan 2017A HUGE thank you to all our parents and friends for giving so generously at Christmastime to this very worthy cause. £565 was raised for the Cancer Fund for Children so thank you again for your support!
